Few people understand visual appeal better than hair stylists and beauty industry professionals. So, they know that a visually appealing website can elicit the same subtle (or overt) reactions from people as a cut or color. A salon website’s design should reflect the style and ambiance of your salon, with high-quality images highlighting your strongest work, the best parts of your interior, and your lovely staff. It should do a lot without doing too much and align with your salon's branding, including colors, fonts & imagery, to create a cohesive and memorable experience for visitors. Somewhere in all this beauty, it must effectively display essential information, such as your services, hours of operation, pricing and booking button.
Vagaro’s MySite combines all these elements to deliver you a streamlined, responsive and beautiful salon website that syncs up with your Vagaro account to automatically update with any changes in information. Meaning, you don’t have to constantly make these updates to your site because it does it for you. In fact, these 5 salons worked closely with Vagaro’s Design Team to create MySite websites that perfectly reflect their brands, businesses and what clients can expect from their experience. Get ready to take some notes because we’re breaking down what makes a great website, below!
Even after 40+ years in business, Blush Salon & Spa still maintains an aura of modernity, which their website projects, beginning with animations that add layers to site interactivity. From there, they include a lot of helpful content that is easy to read and find—with a cleverly labeled FAQ link— and doesn’t overwhelm potential clients. The brand coloring, styling and fonts are cohesive throughout, and are befitting of the salon’s name. The string of professional yet approachable service provider headshots (and their bio links) enable potential clients to become acquainted and easily book with them. Their smiles just might make you want to blush. Or book. Or both.
A light and airy late-spring afternoon—that’s what Chignon Beauty’s website evokes. The name itself, which is French for “the knot or coil of hair arranged on the back of a woman's head,” suggests luxury and comfort, which the consistent brand colors, logo and fonts pay off in spades. The site is minimal and gets the point across with as little as possible, including welcoming images of the salon’s intimate venue. All fitting for a single hair stylist and makeup artist intent on bringing her signature warm glow to a small spot in Alaska's largest city.
Amid the strong imagery on Golden Light Beauty’s website (including a lovely shot of the venue and one of salon owner, Caitlin Colarusso), you’ll notice that shapes of website elements, used consistently from top to bottom, reflect the salon’s logo above & reinforce its brand. The site is clean, organized and welcoming—with a literal message from the owner that takes visitors right to facility info and sparkling reviews. Why wouldn’t you tap that Book Now button, top-right? The vibe here is minimal, but then, gold doesn’t need much to shine, does it?
The simple black and white brand coloring and font choice kind of lends an Old Hollywood vibe to Enyerme Studio Pro’s website. Enyerme’s logo really pops up in the header, neatly framing the list of clickable options (take note: this salon takes advantage of everything Vagaro enables). The logo continues to work in the footer to draw attention to Enyerme’s various social media links, where you will find similar amounts of POP! However, the true starlets in this picture are the stylists who grace this salon. The Enyermy team’s photo depict what looks like a close family that love to laugh about as much as they love what they do, teasing to potential clients what the vibe in this salon is like, while the hand-picked portfolio images show off the range of what its resident glam fam can do (to include hair extensions).
Coming to us all the way from Scotland, Lime Salon Group is exactly that: a group of three salons or, Beauty Hubs, that offer a range of hair, beauty and esthetic services (to include Botox). First, we should call out how Lime Salon Group unites all three of their business locations under one cohesive website with the same structure, logo, coloring and other brand elements—with, of course, unique photos teasing each “Hub”. Consistency is key with branded visuals, and these really work well together. Lime-green, dark apricot and off-white colors really vibe together, putting one in mind of a sweet & tangy ice cream bar, or dangerously tasty summer cocktail.
Speaking of branded, how about that hashtag? This site really paints a strong picture for potential clients of what it means to #GoLime, with impressive venue shots, a well-placed list of awards, a 5-star client review, and a list of partnerships that indicates more than just the products they use and sell, but hint at a salon ethos (e.g., Paul Mitchell Clean Beauty). Limes are, conventionally, known for being sour; this one—or, more accurately, these three—promise an unconventionally sweet experience.
